For the first 27 out of 36 holes Robert Karshner was a lock to winning the 2016 Masters, but true to form the "Masters doesn't begin until the back nine on Sunday."  On day one the players arrived to the course with beautiful sunny sky's, no wind with a pleasant temperature in the low 70's. However as the first groups teed off a cold front rolled in dropping the temperature into the low 50's with 15 to 20 mile an hour gusts. Except for a select few this effected the fields scoring. The field average net score for day one was 8 over par. Logan Bryant was able to manage finishing with a net even par round despite recording a nine on the front nine. Prachant paranjape started of slow on the front with a net +3 but rebounded on the back nine with a net -3 to finish net even par. The star of the day one was Robert Karshner. Shooting net 3 under par on the front nine and net 1 under par on the back. This gave Karshner a comfortable 4 stroke lead heading into the final round.  On day two the weather did an about face having the players arrive in 39 degree weather which resulted in an hour frost delay. However by the time the final group teed off temperatures rose to the mid 50's and eventfully to the high 60's with sunny sky's and no wind. Perfect scoring conditions. The field net scores dropped three strokes to an average of net 5 over par.  Mark Thomas and Tim Borgwardt jump out of the gates on day two going 3 and 4 under par respectively in the early going, but front runner Robert Karshner did not flinch. Karsner started off with 5 straight pars to recored a net -2 through 5 and extend his lead to 5 strokes. Then out of nowhere Prashant cought on fire. Starting on hole 5 Prashant shot net 4 under par on the next 5 holes and by the time Robert and Prashant finished the front nine Robert only had a one stroke lead. With only 9 holes remaining Prashant continued his attack on 10 to gain a share of the lead and with back to back birdies on 13 and 14 there was nothing Robert could do to hold Prashant back. Prashant cruzed to the finish line with a 7 stroke victory. This is Prashants first Major victory since joining the tour 4 years ago.

National Order of Merit- Even though Robert Karshner suffered a tough loss at the WAGT Masters, his 2nd place finish earned him 348 National Order of Merit Points. This vaulted him from 3rd place to 1st place over previous leader Carmen Holewinski who now slips to 2nd place. Achim Trieble who was in 2nd place dropped to 9th place with Kenneth Blalock moving into 3rd, Prachant Paranjape  4th, Logan Bryant 5th, Jonathan Freeman 6th, Mark Thomas 7th and Michael Schaal 8th.  VIEW FULL STANDINGS

National Player of the Year- With Prachant Paranjape winning $1,297.00, Logan Bryant winning $1,058.00 and Robert Karshner winning $876.00, they all gained grown on Carmen Holewinski for player of the year.
